Museum quality work done by 2nd generation of Isokichi Asakura. Flower vase with birds motif on purple ground. Very impressive and highly collectible work. It comes with his sealed and signed original wooden fitted box. Very good in condition with no cracks or chips. 2nd generation of Yasokichi Asakura (1913-1998) studied from 1st Yasokichi Tokuda and Tojiro Kitade. He had been awarded many prizes such as the Japan fine arts association, Nitten and so on. In 1996, He received the Order of Cultural Merit from the goverment.
